The AUSTRALIAN ABALONE GROWER’S ASSOCIATION INC. (AAGA) is an incorporated association under the WA Incorporations Act 2015.
The objects of the Association are to promote and support the Australian abalone farming industry by:
(1). Providing a unified voice for the Australian abalone farming industry in representations to government and other bodies.
(2). Facilitating research and development in the Australian abalone farming industry.
(3). Promoting sustainable development of the Australian abalone farming industry.
(4). Fostering goodwill amongst members of the association in furtherance of its objectives.
History
AAGA was founded in 2004 bringing together separate state associations into a single national association. AAGA has and continues to play a key role in the development and expansion of the Australian farmed abalone industry. AAGA has an IPA (Industry Partnership Agreement) with FRDC (Fisheries Research and Development Corporation). AAGA is a member of the Seafood Industry Australia, (SIA).
